While a vendor may introduce Excipio to a client, our sole focus and motivation is to provide analysis and recommendations that best suit the client’s needs. We do not sell hardware, software, or integration services of any kind, nor do we receive any form of compensation or consideration from any party other than the client. Excipio is vendor, product, and platform neutral, which allows our clients to rest assured we offer a completely unbiased analysis of their environment. Our History
Excipio is a collection of former CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, and VPs who have had responsibility for executing consolidation, mergers, transition to outsourcers, and extreme market growth scenarios. This team has a rare combination of technical, organizational, and financial skills. David has more than 16 years of experience in IT and Business consulting, from Fortune 500 down to SMB markets. His experiences as a financial analyst, business analyst, and CIO have brought tremendous value to Excipio’s clients since he has “walked in their shoes”. David founded Excipio as an independent firm, focused on IT to provide effective cost reduction strategies, project based ROI analysis, strategic directional planning, and education to help business leaders understand, right size, and leverage their IT investments for the profitable gain of the business.

 

gilmerJeff Gilmer, Senior Partner

Jeff is a creative, team oriented professional with more than 20 years of experience in Business and IT related corporations. Jeff’s management skills were utilized to convert a national reseller into a service organization through the development long term outsourcing contracts with Fortune 500 companies. He is effective in both restoring and building organizations through improved long-term process improvement and implementation of solid scalable methodologies.

Through his detailed understanding of process, methodology, and business alternatives, Jeff has experience implementing strategies that significantly streamline current process, provide long-term methodologies, and provide strategic roadmaps for IT organizations.

Carol Steele Sherman is a senior level consultant with over 40 years of IT experience which includes public and private sector organizations. Her background includes managing the operation of 30,000 square feet of Tier III Data Centers, complex data center expansions, migration projects, and developing “as a Service” or Cloud based computing environments for global organizations.

Carol has managed teams who have been recognized with multiple awards for data center consolidation, government Cloud protection program (disaster recovery) and enterprise IT management to establish enterprise metrics ensuring operational readiness, business availability, and data warehousing.

Rick LiaBraaten

Experienced process consultant focusing on IT Service Management process optimization by assisting clients to address current process issues and establish better governance and audit capabilities.  The goal is to create and implement client focused processes, service levels and metrics, improve IT Service operational capabilities to meet increased demand, and optimize the processes to get full value from an ITSM tool.

Frank Gump

Frank is an experienced senior level director with over 20+ years of IT operational and financial experience focused on IT cost savings, networking and telecommunications. An example of Frank’s success includes serving as project lead for a large, public sector client and completed a current-state analysis of the technology services to understand the total IT related costs. The technology assessment focused on thirteen executive-level agencies. The goal was to identify cost optimization strategies that would reduce IT related spending by an estimated 15MM dollars in savings during the FY 2016 budget period. This objective was successful. For this project, Frank and his Excipio team also developed, administered, scored and managed the mainframe RFP process resulting in an award for mainframe services. In addition to cost optimization strategies Frank’s Excipio team developed new programs to convert existing IT expenses from CAPEX to OPEX.
